My suspension is incredibly noisy. The front more so than the rear but to the point where if I go around a corner, all I hear is creaking. Even when I accelerate and brake. The slighest movement makes lots of noise. Does this sound like a dealer-worthy issue?

Sounds like you may have a bad CV joint. You should check the rubber boots around your front CV joints and make sure there are no leaks. If there is grease on the boots, you need to get your butt to the dealer immediately. IF that is making the noise, they can break or cause transmission damage and then you are in some deep doo doo.

That's just a theory though

Ghostrider, mine has been making the same sounds too. Well if the sounds are something like a chatter? It seems to be coming from the front suspension arms and more so when you are turning the wheel at slower speeds. I only have a little under 3,000 miles on mine and have a good while for the warranty to run out so I am waiting a little to see if it is just colder weather making these sounds before calling the dealer to check it out. If it was making these sounds continuously, I would call the dealer sooner. Sometimes the weather and temps create different sounds from expansion or contraction of metals and plastics.

I did have the squeeky sound coming from what was listed here as a recall on the parking brake cable coming from the front drivers side lower door area but went away with the colder temps. Go figure??????

I was just coming here to look for this info!!! Mine is doing the same thing!! I had a loud issue with my bumper, they actually had to remove it and realign it....it was embarrassing driving down the road, I thought the damn thing was gonna fall off. I figured this noise was part of the bumper issue but it's still there.

I have noticed now that it is colder it happens more often. I thought it was my brakes, then my thought went to the shocks and now I am worried it is the cv joints...I hear it on 3 sides. WEIRD!! And annoying considering i just left it at the dealer for 3 days while they fixed the bumper which by the way I kept getting told was the emer brake cable....the local Chevy dealer found the problem for me!!

Barb :)

no no no no no. Not me. JM posted it and I think it was Hunner doing the flying.

I'm not jumping anything if it squeaks going over a manhole cover.

H3*'s it definately sounds like you both know what I'm talking about. Front suspension noise when its cold.

I also have the 1,800 RPM vibration going on too...plus the tire sensors going off...maybe it just needs a trip to the dealer. All these seem to happen when it gets below freezing and its about to be below freezing here for 5 months. Its a little embarassing if anybody gets in it cold, this shaking and squeaking and creaking and pinging and lights flashing...doesnt exactly scream "quality"

Ghostrider, speaking of cold.....I haven't gotten any tire sensor warning yet but my mirror display was flashing from 33 degrees to ICE and back to degrees last week! I think it is the cold but I will still wait a bit to see for sure as the sounds only started with the cold weather. It could be cold CV joints but only seems to do it at slower speeds.

Mine did that also...it stopped doing it and switched to flashing the tire temp sensor at me...who knows..I think I'm going to try and get it up to the dealer on friday..I have a slew of questions for them.
