Has anyone sucessfully had their '07 stereo fitted with the in-dash after market SIRIUS radio receiver from Crutchfield or Soundgate? I am unable to get an difinitive answer as to if these are compatable with the '07's as it seems as if there has been an equipment upgrade in the newer models that may affect instalation (which is different than the '06) (note: I'm not looking to add a portable unit as in all of my other vehicles but rather use the "mode" button on the factory stereo touch screen much like one would for XM) http://www.logjamelectronics.com/soundkngm1v3.html http://www.crutchfield.com/S-C3z8SZtyBxn/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?search=sirgm1&i=607SIRGM1

I did the SIRGM-1 from Crutchfield. Simple install epsecially if you have XM already in the vehicle. Just unplug the XM receiver behind the glove box and plug in the Sirius one. Done. If you dont have XM and have the base model radio like i did you just use the other wire harness they give you and it takes an extra minute to run a power wire. It works VERY well and I highly reccomend it!

Numerous sources have told me that Hummer has changed the audio systems/radios in the '07's and the conversion kit you used (and I want) may not be compatible.

Call crutchfield and ask them. They will allow you to return it if it does not work out. They have great customer service.

Good call, but I already spoke to them and they didn't know if it would work. They told me that until they have an H3 come in and they try to install it locally, they won't know. Customer Service/ Tech was very helpful but just didn't have the info. Same with the other vendor. Once my truck is delivered (ETA 15 days), I'll just have to give it a shot.

I'm installing the Sirius GM kit in my 07 tonight, I'll let you know how it goes. My radio looks the same as the 06's so I'm not too concerned.

ORIGINAL: importkiller I brought my 06 into the stealership tonight for service and sat in an 07, the radios are the exact same thing. Service guy told me they are the same part number also. Thanks, that is great news. I wonder why both my dealership and Crutchfield couldn't give me a definitive answer. Well, the end justifies the means so it is SIRIUS (HardAttack/ Buzzsaw/ Octane/ Howard Stern) on my radio.

Intslled the Sirius GM kit on the base cd player in my 07 last night. It works like a champ. Sounds great, and all the controls seem to work great. The only hangup I had was in the activiation. I could only get 184 and 255 with the seek buton until i turned the tuning knob. It took a few minutes to figure that out. I mounted the antenna above the driverside windshield opposite the onstar antenna and ran the wire inside through the hood pull cable grommet. Does anyone know if any of the H3 radio options play mp3's on cd? Also, has anyone instaled the USA Spec ipod adapter? I want to know if the song name is displayed on the radio.s display.
