I'm switching my H3's OEM gas cap with a stant locking gas cap, and was wondering how to remove the tether from the old cap without cutting it off. I'm hoping to re-use the tether on the new cap.

the easy way is pull the black plastic holder out you can do this with your hands and after take the two tabs squeeze them together and the cap will come out off the holder that waht i did when i put my hummer door on and once your done just push the it back on to the truck .Ihave to remove mine now it going to be differant i want a locking cap to
it very easy

The fenders are all polycarb plastic, so drilling a hole or two will not be an issue later with rusting.

Ah! I see...Well tape the area you intend on penetrating with a couple of layers of heavy tape, in case you do slip..And also lay off the coffee for a few days.

tatoo will look nice all down the side of the car

just use a little drill bit first then the right one so you will not mess up and if you do blame it on the guy that delv. your truck when he droped your off his truck it probably was on 5 ft
