ORIGINAL: ZYNE The INS part was stressfull but pretty straight forward ... no lawyer involvement, did everything ourselves! 6 months worth of stress but really not tooooooo much of a hassle! I must admit though Dallas was hot, Cinci is worse for humidity which is truly what kills me ... Was nice being able to sit outside and have a couple of beers after a day in class without getting drenched two seconds after walking outside. Quite a few folks complained about how humid it was there but I honestly didn't think it was bad at all! bro, you don't know humid until you come to houston lol. No thanks, my in-laws moved there years ago so I'm staying my a$$ away from Houston :)

Tell ya what, I’ve helped a few of her friends and acquaintances muddle through the process and now have a new found appreciation of what I was lucky enough to have been born with. No lawyers here either, just a lot of triple checking ! ! ! CrazyGreek is right.....That Houston humidity will kill ya. You have to leave your beer IN THE COOLER and drink it with a very long straw. Yeah .. you can get by doing it yourself quite easily if you take your time, do your reading, and follow everything down to ridiculous detail .. I personally found the medical aspects of it rather degrading but I do understand why they put you through that stuff .. I must admit THAT part being over is a relief .. now I just gotto get my citizenship squared .. and lemme tell you, missing that ONE signature cost me 350 bucks in forfeited filing costs

Have you seen the NEW filing fees............Man 'O Man......................... Same for my wife, just have to get the C-Ship.....Will start on that when she gets back from seeing her family in April. I'll have to re-school myself on that crap....I had it down to the type of folder and Acco fasteners they used.. Had to...It's thier world. Just don't ask my wife what she thinks about illegal immigrants.....You better run and/or duck ! ! ! ! !

I haven't actually looked in to what it will cost me this time but I'm sure it's the usual kind .. leavin you bleeding from orifices that has no business bleedin' Now they weren't THAT stingy with me but VERY particular none the less. I was done with immigration in -98 and I still think I'm wearing off the ink from all the trips to the printing place .. As far as illegals go .. I can honestly understand their position .. I really can. That however does not mean I approve of the means they get here .. in fact I think it's a huge slap in the face to everyone who did pay their dues and did it the right way .. the folks that do pay their taxes and become productive additions to society .. but with all this said .. you can always turn it around and say not many americans would take the jobs these people do fill .. I guess it's both good and bad .. .with an emphasis on bad.

Here is my over simplified solution: I'd like to see those jobs filled by able bodied welfare recipients. Let's say they are better off financially on WF alone than if they were working a low $$ job. Now, give them one of those jobs and 1/2 of their WF check to bring them up to a decent living wage and pocket the other 1/2 of the check. No jobs for the illegals, no illegals....Welfare roles reduced, my taxes go down and people are now productive members of society. I know. It’s a double edged sword. I can’t blame someone for wanting to better themselves, but NOT at the expense of our laws. And…you are right, it is a slap in the face to those who did it the right way. Oh crap...I think we should have taken this discussion Off Topic or to a PM....Sorry folks.....My forum etiquette is lacking.
