do you guys follow the code?

do you wave or give the peace sign to other hummers?

you know just like guys on motorcycles do

I always flash the peace sign and nod to other hummer drivers, most do it back except for soccer moms

I try to show mutual admiration to all the Breeds of the HUMMERS..You're right though, the soccer moms are usually too busy and have a cell phone stuck in their ear, or wrangling with a loose kid or two.

it's not the same as being on 2 wheels. i wave to anyone on a bike, whether it's a crotch rocket or a cruiser, and most wave back, whether they like purple or not. the hummer is different though. most people don't know i'm driving a real hummer, they've most likely never seen one muddy and get confused, so don't know enough to wave. lowriders in front of me at night tend to wave, mostly just a single digit though, and typically in front of their rearview mirrors. even after i've adjusted the headlights as much as i can and still drive at night.

I just purchased my H2 before Xmas. I didn't realize there was a code. The funny thing is I traded in my
'99 C5 Corvette ( they tell you about "save the wave" when you purchase) and my '99 Jeep Sahara, they also had a code.

I thought with the H2 everyone was just super friendly. I wave!!!

Neither in my town nor when I go out of town has anyone ever bother to wave at my h2, although some people do gawk. When my wife bought herself a new 05 Mustang, there's been a lot of thumbs up from passing motorists and especially other Mustang owners. I'm just glad no one's yet given me the finger. I wouldn't like to end up in FUH2! LOL!!

I always sign the Hummer code which is holding up two fingers on the left hand with one finger from the right hand halfway down the two fingers to form a H. I can do this because I have a friend who owns a body shop.

I use the index finger and pinky in the air-- others folded down, it looks like an "H"- get some smiles and have started seeing the H sign from other hummers.

Since I was only driving my new H3 for less than an hour and got 1 thumbs down I thought this was something I would have to deal with a lot. Luckily it was just an isolated sick-o. This vehicle has a lot of character and is very enjoyable to drive much in the same way my Z06 Corvette is minus the handling and speed.
