The nature of superchargers will not give you that "kick in the pants" powerband. Superchargers are VERY linear, so while you WILL feel a difference in power, its not going to be that sudden snap your neck that a Turbo will give you.

That installation cost still seems WAY excessive. You said 10 hrs install time and 2800 labor? $280.00 per hour labor???! Or are we missing something here?

I'd love to have an extra ~90 HP, but for that cost...yikes.

I'd still like to know why GM dropped the Turbo solution that was on the prototype H3 one the car show circuit in 04.

TMan,

It goes even faster if you hook up the supercharger belt!

I've been trying to get a hold of one from Predator for a while, since back in January to be exact. Are they available now? Last I checked they are still on back order...am I missing something?

Very nice, what kind of gain did you achieve? Also, is the supercharger a kit?

Needs a aftercooler in Arizona with some sort of cold air box. I think a roots syle would work beter on that motor for lower end power, or a turbo.

i just called Predator Motorsports, this is the co. who TeakaToys ad says makes the kit advertised on their site Dennis linked to,
i was told "we do not have a release date, we've been told since Dec last year, but the guy was a one man band and we are not going to deal with people like that"
whick leads us to assume that, they (Predator) are not making a kit,
i was also told "once we have kits (superchargers) for the H3 we will sell whatever is available."
i then called TeakaToys who said they've been waiting for the kits since Novermber... and thought the main reason for the delays and lack of companies offer an SC for the H3 was because of rumors over a V8 in the next year or 2 and they(SC mfg.s) would not want to make an SC for just 1 or 2 years of an engine...

So i'd like to know where the 2 guys that have the superchargers that posted here got theirs and how?
unless they know the guy who was fabricating the kits i can't see how...

i have done tons of searching for an H3 supercharger kit, and i called several supercharger manufacturers and all say either nothing or "we're working on it" but NO idea of release date and i get the feeling it is not a high priority...
The 2 guys who posted here are the ONLY people on the net i could find actually saying/showing superchargers on a H3!

if i'm missing something, then please anyone chime in!

Thanks!

Magna was going to make one. However they said there not going to now. Saying that Gm will offer a V-8 H3 in 08. http://www.magnacharger.com/ this is there website some of the techs still want to make it but the owner is worried about sales. I think if we had enough push they would consider it.

I have also got the not yet response. But I did find this company in Denver that does a custom one. NOT the one in the picks which looks like the Preadator unit, but does use a similar s/c. The company is called dashworks.com Check them out. Pricey but I emailed and they said their kit is good for 375HP at the crank. Assuming about 25% loss for the driveline, about 240 hp at the wheels!!

for that kind of money you could put a v8 in the H3

goodlooking unit but they sy you have to have there cold
air box and that is why the cost is so high.

you can get a vortec charger for about $1800.oo I would
like to see them just make the brckets for the public than i could
do the rest my self.
