All right...I've got the Monsoon with the sub. The bass is of course amazing and the tweeters do a nice job with the highs. But damn do those door speakers have that hollow GM sound ...with way too much midrange. My Jetta (the one I traded in to get my H3 had a badass Monsoon without a sub, but you could control the mids to a nice level so that it didn't sound hollow.)


Newbie questions:

1. Just goin out on a really fragile limb here, but...Does anyone know if there is a way to program anything in the stereo so that you can tone down the mids???

2. What speakers have others installed in the door panels to get rid of this? Brand? Size?


I've seen the other thread in this section about the speaker size...but I am really concerned about getting the tone back in order...these things are just way too hollow-sounding.
