I got back from WV yesterday. I didn't get to go to the race track or go off roading, but I did go to the Moundsville prison for a tour. Being a hard sell, especially when it comes to the "super natural" I just merely chuckled when the tour guide spoke of the place being haunted. I just don't believe in that stuff. After that tour however, my opinion has changed. I had 4 ghost experiences during the tour. Freaked me out totally!! I even had a nightmare last night because of it. A woman in our tour group of 8 was taking pictures with her digital camera. One of the pics that she had taken was of a mural of a log cabin that was painted by an inmate. When looking at the pic it looked like one of the windows was lit up. And it was no flash refection. Then there was the "orb" that we saw in another pic. Then the tour guide mention to the pic taker to take another one of the mural on the wall. This time a different window was lit up. Now the strangest thing was the pic of a face. I was standing right there watching this lady take a picture and there it was. A very distinct face. F-ing freaked me out. Being a non believer of ghosts and now all of a sudden actually seeing this with my own eyes. Very weird. And by the way, this Wednesday night at 9pm eastern time there is going to be a story about this place on the Sci-fi channel.

I'm an impossible sell on that kind of thing. as a kid, there was rumors of haunting in two local places, slept alone in them both and I've experienced nothing.

So either there were no ghosts, or the ghosts sensed that my inner evil was too great to mess with.

Yeah, I totally don't or didn't believe in that kind of "crap" either, but it was very weird. The place was just so evil. One guy was in there for killing his family. I saw satanic things cavrved into the walls. Really nasty stuff.

I didn't really believe in that stuff either until my wife told me some stories that made me think twice. We live in a new apartment building that is directly behind a small cemetary. The building is pretty big, about 410 units. Anyway, we hear strange things all the time and wonder if it's something wierd like that. It's actually one of the reasons we want to move out and into our house so bad. There are just noises that happen sometimes that freak you out (other then the FREAKIN fire alarm going off once a month and pretty much deafenning you for ten minutes)!

One thing that happens ALL the time, is that our closet lights are turned on. It hasn't happened lately, but when it did, I knew damn well I turned them off. I even told myself specifically "I TURNED THE LIGHT OFF" and the next morning, it would be on. It's happened literally about 10 times, and to my wife also. It's little things like that.

Bah Humbug!..The orbs are dust specs floating around on drafts...When the adrenaline flows, you'll see anything if someone plants the idea..

Believe me Dennis, I'm doing everything that I can to try to convince myself that I saw nothing, or that it can be explained. But the face. I saw her take the pic and there it was.

i don't mean my comments to imply that your observations are misrepresented, and i don't mean to make light of the experience, i just firmly believe i will never see a ghost

What was that movie a few years back with Ted Danza?.."Two men and a baby" or something like that...Where in one scene there was a ghost of a little girl hidding behinds some curtains and they actually caught it on tape/film....That one was spooky I'll admit.

Or if you listen to Dark Side of the Moon while watching The Wizard of Oz...The witch melts and toto gets rabies...hell I don't know

Weird stuff. I cant say that I believe in things like that, but I have seen a lot of things that I can't explain. I'm sure the beer had something to do with it in some cases, but I've had some weird stuff happen sober also.

Yeah, I'd LIKE to believe in Ghosts and all, at least then there Would Be an After Life. But I need to see it FIRST HAND to believe. My wife and Mother in law had experiences and they are total believers.

I do LOVE the show Ghost Hunters. There were a couple of things they captured on film that I can't explain. Plus the show is FUNNY!!

Did you ever notice that when you watch the Ghost Hunter specials, they never have any video of any ghosts? I stopped watching all those things because it was just like people saying "And there is was, a flying orb, right there in front of me , i swear it was" and then you see the outline of the bottle under their shirt

Not trying to get religous....But if the here after means walking around transparently in old prisons or houses..What the hell? (no pun intended)

And these mediums that say they can connect to the spirits, are full of bull hockey too IMO.

i grew up next to a huge cemetery, it was basically our play area. slept out there, launched eggs at cars from it, hid in it, and never once saw anything freaky. not even when i was doing things that made reality freaky. of course, there was that spectral locomotive that used to rocket by the house . . . . . . but other than that . . . . listen - you smell something?
