I'm going to invent a new word for BLING...

I think "Urbanizing" would be more appropriƩ..

I think bling is not always a matter of chrome. My friend used to own a green 65 Corvette coupe with white wall tires. it used to drive me crazy.
I never liked "styling" but rather function, to me it had to serve a purpose. Kind of like military vehicles , jet aircraft or even race cars - no chrome just purpose.
The bottom line is really if the owner really likes a certain look, I just do not understand bling.

Thanks Bo

I honestly don't care if somebody doesn't like mine personally. I mean, everybody has a right to their own opinion, and I'm not one of those people (as I don't think most are here) that say "oh well if you don't like my H3 then screw you." I did it because I like the way it looks, as does my wife, and if others really like it, I honestly find it VERY flattering and am humble about it, but people who don't care for it I definitely respect because it's their personal opinions and that is fine. I love the flat blacked-out look AND the "bling'd" look, so for me it's cool

(hell even Dennis has "bling" and he's like 92........)

I'm with you Mike. I didn't "Bling" up my truck for anyone's approval but MINE!! Hell, even the WIFE doesn't like it (I think she's Jealous of all the time I spend with "HER")

I just REALLY like the way it looks...Blame Jada or DUB for making all those SWEET pimpin' diecast's!!
But to me, it's not the CHROME thing, it's just the PERSONALIZATION thing that I LOVE. I LOVE the look of the big rims, street tires, lower stance/profile.

I'm actually a BIG FAN of Black Chrome, and if I would have seen the SMA Black Chrome stuff 2 years ago, I would have done that instead of Chrome. But now I'm in MORE than a few grand in and the wife would DIS-OWN me if I re-did my Rig!! But does BLACK CHROME constitute Bling???

But again Mike, I'm in the same boat as you. I think it's AWESOME when someone compliments me on all the TIME/EFFORT/$$$ I put into my baby(again, even though I did it for ME), but for those who don't like it, I totally dig that too. Apples and Oranges. If everyone liked the same thing, this would be a pretty BORING WORLD!!!

Sorry Dennis, I had to leave Mike's last line in there cause it's FUNNAY!!

Now Mike has changed is Avatar! Mike, is that so we can all see that you are somewhat normal looking compared to your infamous picture??

I honestly don't quite know lol. I think since I have been away from the house from 5:30 AM to 7:00 PM 5 days a week, I kinda miss her as corny as that sounds

ok ok and yes I wanted people to know I was normal

We have only been married 1 1/2 years, and only knew each other 6 months before that, so I think being away from home so much is what keeps us close, because we don't get bored with each other and don't get sick of each other. I have been warned though "just wait until 5 years hits" so we'll see what happens

Here's my ride I like the look of the Chrome Fuel Door. I wanted the Lux Pkg, but without the Chrome; dealer didn't have won so I settled. Since than I've been adding more chrome to my H3, the contrast from the Slate Blue and the chrome looks good. Males it staind out a little bit. So if you want to blame someone blame HUMMER if they didn't make the fuel door I wouldn't added everything else.

From www.urbandictionary.com
Bling
1. Jamaican slang that has been adopted by some African American rappers and inserted into popular culture. The term "Bling Bling" refers to the imaginary "sound" that is produced from light reflected by a diamond. See The Silvertones "Bling Bling Christmas" for the earliest known usage of the slang.

This is great..a bunch of middle aged (or more..but i'll give you the benefit of the doubt!) dudes discussing thier blingage...god bless the internet.

Raise your hand if you first heard the term from Big & Rich or on the golf course!!!

Maybe I'm too new school but my taste = no chrome.

YOU KNOW WHERE TO GET BLACK CHROME STUFF???
Black chrome is very kool!!!
Tell me where.

The word bling = BaeutifuL thING, It is like many new words that were derived from combining two or more words together. Personally I do not like the word and hope the fad fades quickly.
