I just got my black baby H3 a month a go. Some one either poured something on it or something.
The paint on the door and fender are now filled with spots and runs in the dark purple color
It looks like what everthe stuff went through the clear coat and bleached the black paint under neath.
I tried all kinds of cleaner, and nothing helped. The dealer said that they had never seen anything like this before.
I will try to post pictures as soon as i can.
Does anyone have any idea of what to do?
Any one know how much painting the door and the front fender would cost?

It would seem to me that if it is under the color, i.e. in the primer or under it and bleeding through the color, it should be a warranty fix and cost nothing. Sometims things happen at the factory and they don't get cleaned up very well.

or if they won't fix it you could pour brake fluid in a spray bottle and apply a fine mist on your entire truck. next day your paint will be eaten through to the metal and you can claim vandalism on your insurance.....not saying how I know this

A spray can of self-etching primer for the bare spots usually costs around $9 and a spray can of adhesion promoter to make the paint stick goes around $12 per spray can. As for your primer, like urethrane primer, it usually costs from $48 - $55 per gallon or a little more than that. If you may need a wax and grease remover it is at $10+/qt. With the paint, Dupont has top of the line paint that is great for color matching as what many recommends. If you opt to have your door and front fender painted by a body shop, you could courteously ask for a breakdown of the paint job.
