i for one want to say that is a great idea, and i hope that forum really takes off.

a multi-vehicle forum that doesn't suck is something the world really needs.

I know i give freaky hater jeepers alot of guff when i post, but out there in the real world about 95% of Jeep guys are cool as heck and fun to hang out with. And most of them have never really got a chance to check out a hummer, much less a hummer in action (just like alot of us have never really gotten a chance to see a jacked up jeep). Some people suck, and that's the way it is, but some H2 drivers suck too...

And the world doesn't need a bunch of hummer drivers ripping on the FJ Cruiser on those "other forums", or more ignant hater threads on jeep forums, or payback threads on hummer forums, or more bickering of any kind - it needs to not take itself quite so seriously and just go get stuck in the muck, or hung up on a rock somewhere.

Kudo's, Inked.

Speaking of the FJ Cruiser, My girlie friend and I just went out and did a little comparo of the two, her FJ against my H3. She could keep up with me everywhere we went, but I must admit she chickened out on some of the heavy stuff and took the bypass, or easier route. I was still impressed in it though. I think if she was a better driver, i.e. more confidance in herself and vehicle, she would have done just as well if she took the harder lines. Between the two I would still rather have the H3. She has some dents in her skidplates from hitting rocks that didn't phase the H3, but that could be from less skilled driving ability. I have a 16 minute video with no sound because I couldn't figure out how to get the sound to come across onto the computer. It shows me doing the obsicle, then her. If I can figure out how to post it, I'll provide the link.

Sorry for stealing the thread.

Well, my hummer forums are barely even making it, for some reason Hawaii Hummer drivers are not really interested in getting to know each other

I was inspired to do this site after getting stuck in the sand this weekend, when the Toyota and lifted Suzuki came by to help me out I thought, man this whole thing about who's got the better rig is ridiculous. And although I know there will be some that may bash on other rides, we will try to make sure everyone stays cool with everyone .

As for a lot of time on my hands? I work at home, on my own time and run my own freelance company, my time is controlled by me

Thanks Greenblade, I guess because I used to own a Ford, Jeep, and a Chevy and experienced wheeling with the Jeepers before and you're right, most of them is super cool.

It's a humbling experienced when two older model 4x4's come to your aid, these guys had no attitude at all, in fact they told me they just cruise the circuit and help anyone who gets stuck. That was an eye opener, and I said yeah it's time for a multi-vehicle forum

I think the FJ has good potential also. The clearance isn't so bad (but lower minimum clearance than the H3) and at least some versions of the FJ have questionable underbody protection. I think they come with a little tin can in the front or a larger aluminum skid plate. The Al plate looks better, but probably an aftermarket skid would be in order for the toughest obstacles. I've read the manual FJs are much better than auto's offroad due to having locking differential(s).

Still, i think the H3 has underbody protection, gearing, a bit of clearance, and (automatic versions) better traction options than the FJ. And its 11,000 times cooler (personal opinion only, of course).
