I recently added 315/75R16 **** Cepek Radial FCII tires on my 2008 Hummer H3. The mechanic stated that I needed to have the vehicle computer updated with the new tire size to eliminate any major problems. Has anybody ever heard of this or done it? Thanks

That is some big loud print there bub. Yep, a whole bunch of people on here. Search PCM tune. You can get the PCM tuned from places like PCMforless, to grow your truck some balls, and specify the tire size when you do, they will program it in to the PCM and your speedo/shift points etc... will all be right on.

...Or, next time your at the dealership, ask them to flash your PCM for the new tire size. My dealer did it for free since I drove a little distance for a oil change, knowing I could have taken it elsewhere. At most you might be looking at 1/2 hour min. charge.
