Has anybody bought a hardtop for softtop H1''s? I found the calgold ones. Are they the onyl ones available or are there other makers? I live in the NW so when the weather''s good a soft top is nice, but it would be good to have the HT over the winter. ANy feedback on this product? It looks to be good quality.

The top is insulated. In 10 years (michigan) never had an issue with it being colder than a hard top or vehicle with a moon/sun roof.

What year H1 do you have? The 98 model year is when the nice insulated softtops became available. The accomodations can be made to fit the later insulated tops to the 97.5 and older trucks but it is a PITA and not easy. CalGold is the only hard top maker I am aware of but there may be others.

I''ve been lurking on this forum for a LONG  time but never posted. I am now in the market for an H1. I am a dual ticketed licenced automotive and diesel mechanic. I have always wanted an H1 and now I can do it. I didn''t think the soft top would be that good in the winter. I live right on the border of WA and Canada. So I guess as long as it still has the OEM top and not some cheap aftermarket deal, it should be fine. Michigan gets some cold winters as well. Thanks for the feedback.

If you touch the insulated roof (from the inside) it is warm, if the heat is on. A very, very good design.
