Do all h3''s have the low fuel warning light? I have an 06 and for the first timer I was in the "red" on the gas gauge but the low fuel light did not come on.

Yup.. I have an 06. It comes on with about 2 gallons left (this amount is arguable. Its supposed to give you 35 miles until you run out.)
You have to run it way down past the red in order for it to come on. We have 22 gallon tanks so if you are putting in less than 20 gallons, you wont see it.

Thanks! Didn''t know if the light was broken.  I usually don''t let it get much below 1/2 before putting in gas.

Okay, although I usually do not do this, I tried to see how far I could go with the fuel light on.  I drove on the Interstate @ 70 mph for 51.6 miles before I just could not take it anymore.  The HUMMER took 22.64 gallons.  If the tank is actually a 23 gallon tank & I know me MPG''s average right at 17.4, my fuel light came on with about 3 gallons in the tank considering the puddle that remains in the tank so the pump doesn''t run dry.

Has ANYBODY ever run out of gas in a H3??? I might have to do it just to be able to say that with rising gas prices and driving a fabled ''gas hog'', that I was the first person to ever run out of gas driving a Hummer.

I managed about 40 miles and it died at the gas station, had to push the car for the remaining 15 ft or so to get it alongside the pump, took just shy of 23 gallons to fill.
