Hi All,

I can''t find information what kind of round sensor and speaker are on the overhead above the driver''s head. The sensor could be for the A/C and the speaker?
It is not working I hear only some little static noise out of it. What is it for and how to switch it off.

Thanks a lot.

Hey thanks,
so it''s a speaker? But when I switch onstar on, my usual speakers are used. Can I unplug it at the onstar console without any problems?

Regards from Germany :-)

It''s a MICROPHONE for OnStar...... If we are talking about the same thing???

When I had my headliner blacked out, the uphostery shop painted it and then OnStar couldn''t hear me.....had to have it replaced.....

The round/slotted piece you are referring to is the Onstar Hands-free Microphone........

At least here in the states that''s what it is.

You can''t find any kind of information over here in Germany for our playing tool.
And my english is sometimes not good anough for searching here in the forum.

I hope in the next time I can ask some other stuff?

Are you talking about the round thing right above the driver on the left hand side od the headliner closest to the door? If thats what youre talking about its called an aspirator.

The aspirator is a temp sensor with a small fan.  It hooks to the climate control system to let it know what the temp is inside the cabin of the truck.

The fan makes noise eventually.  Mine was making the noise when I got it.  I paid the dealer just over $120 to replace it.  You have to pull part of the headliner down to get to the sensor and I didnt want to deal with it.  The aprt was maybe $40 at the dealer.
