I got one of the new Pioneer Premier F90BT indash dvd/nav units installed the other day.  The unit has amazing functionality including voice control of the nav, phone calls via bluetooth, and multimedia playback.

I tried the phone a couple times and ended up asking my Mom what the call sounded like from my end and she said terrible.  I figured it would since my installed put the microphone on the overhead console which is pretty far away.  I moved the mic today to the sunvisor and made a call.  The person on the other end said it sounded pretty good.

But where are you guys/gals mounting your microphones for your in dash radios or other blue tooth devices..?????

On a side note......   I usually install full blown systems in every car I get.  I got tired of blowing thousands and thousands on systems so this time I put the F90BT, ipod/iphpne adapter, and a rear view camera only coupled with the Bose amp via a Metra GMOS04 adapter.  It sounds pretty good but not great.  I will most likely install a full system between now and the end of the year.   I do love the ipod/iphone adapter as well.  Music sounds great, and I have even been able to play Pandora radio through the car speakers which AWESOME!!!!

I''m in the process of putting an AVIC Z-2 in I''m going to try to use onstar''s mic if not I''ll find a way to hide the mic (same spot as onstar) in the headliner.  I head the system installed in a grandcherokee untill last week, still trying to decide weather or not to use the guide speaker or just use the factory/muted radio speakers.  A side note, I am also using the gms04 and my rear speakers are not coming on, any thoughts?

Definitely post pics if you get the mic mounted where the factory onstar one is. I ended up moving mine from the overhead console to the sun visor which doesn''t look very good but apparently sounds ok on the other end of the line. I would like to move it to a less conspicuous place.

My installer was having problems with sound coming in and out. I got there and after showing him how to hack the harness I looked at the gmos04. You could tell not all the pins from the gmos04 were seating so I got him to seat each pin with a small screwdriver and everything worked perfectly. He had been about to order me a replacement module. I''m glad I showed up and looked over his shoulder.
