Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has the same problem with the driver''s side mirror vibrating or shaking when travelling at highway speeds (i.e. ~100km/h or 60mph).

I had send it to the service centre and they told me that it is a problem on all Hummer H3 which I find hard to believe. If this is the case, then the quality is pretty appaling given that my car is only a few months old.

Looking forward to hearing from other H3 owners out there.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Both of my H3''s have done it, and both times it was a warranty repair.......

My big questions is: After they told you it was a common problem, did they offer to fix it ASAP?

Same thing with mine...I think I''ll have it replaced (Gunner, did it resolve the problem when they replaced the mirror?)..I think I''ll get mine fixed when I take it in for buzzing A-pillar trim.

mine does it.  I took it apart and it seems the gearing and motro is a little loose on the horizontal.  Twice I have taken it apart (just the mirror and mounting plate) and after putting it back together it is tight for a whle.

They said they have tightened it up. They did not replace it as they said was not fixable because all Hummers do it.

How bad is the vibration? Well, it is pretty annoying on the freeway when you are trying to change lanes. IF you were looking at it all the time, it would be enough to cause you an headache.

I had it on mine also, took it in and they fixed it.

Wife''s 08 and her old 06 neither one did it though.

My New Mirror still jiggles just a little bit still...I think it is the aerodynamics of the mirror housing that causes a turbulance to play with the mirror and the way it is postioned to view to the rear..the Passenger side is adjusted differently and I think the air currents don''t have the same affect on it...Cuz, if you skew the driver''s mirror differently than the way it would normally set, it don''t jiggle....Anyways, that''s all the thinking I''m gonna put into this as I don''t drink, so I guess I''ll go fire up a doobie now
