I recently was able to get my hands on a 1986 Humvee.  It has a standard intake and I decided to install a military issued snorkel.  After installation I cranked it up and it started, barely idled and then stalled.  I removed the snorkel and it ran fine.  Any ideas?  First H1 post, great forum by the way.

Problem solved.  After spending more time with it I found the cap had been pushed down too far on the tube restricting the air flow.
