Hi guys just have a question about one of the warning lights on the dash

I have a 08 H3 3.7 litre right hand drive.

On the dash above the high beam indiactor light there is a cross section of a tyre with an exclamation mark in the centre of it and the light is orange in color.

There is no explanation of what it is for in the owners manual

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Its the low tyre pressure warning light, and if I am not mistaken the South African built export models do not have the low tyre pressure warning system. So I guess you''ll never see it lit.

It is the tire pressure sensor.  If your tires have the sensors in them and your pressure drops below a set level that would light up to let you know.

Yea mine came on the other day , I was driving for 3 1/2 hours and the during the summer the tire pressure change just like the winter. After i called onstar and asked them what it was they pretty much said the same thing that the tire pressure changed. a day later it never came back on. Assuming the tires where extremely hot and the tires were over inflated.

Thx for the help guys...pity we dont have that option in Australia.

Any one know if the system would be able to work if you got the valve sensors?

Actually....IMHO the Tire Pressure Monitor Sensors are a PITA!

Many, many people have had false warning issues, and rotating the tires takes longer because the wheels are relocated and the system needs to be
programmed to re-set the location of each after rotation.  It is not difficult, just takes time....

Agree with you there Doc, my ''06 had TPMS and it was a PITA, I had to re-set it several times and had a gas station attendant snap one valve off resulting in a $100 replacement sensor assembly plus tyre removal / balancing. My ''07 hasn''t got it thankfully, one less electronic gizmo to worry about.
