Hey guys, my lease on my Trailblazer is almost up and I might get a H3. Did anything significant change between an 07 and 08? I want to stay away from the 06 3.5L if possible. Also, is there any way to tell which ones have the Adventure package when I browse them on internet sites?

We have both the 07 & 08.  The difference to the base modle we have really noticed is the silver front plate on the 08.  ''08 options that were different:  backup camera, and the Alpha.

As far as the adventure package, it comes with the larger tires, so that would be one way to identify the option.  I would think they would advertise it as the adventure package since it was a costly upgrade.

You can also look for the rear locker button on the dash board if it has interior pics.  That is how I identifed them when I was surfing the internet.

I''ve tried to respond a couple times but keep getting an error message. Let me try this again.
Both have 3.7 - no 3.5 anymore. The 08 apparently was "tweeked" by GM for a little different powerband. Same HP and TQ.What this means is something as simple as a CAI for the 08 is only availlable from K&N. Other performance upgrades still aren''t available for the 08. Seems really stupid to me but what do I know.
Remember these things (since I just did this 1 month ago). Look at multiple dealers and sites. Don''t forget Ebay. That''s how I found mine. Called the dealer and delt directly with them - NO BIDDING INVOLVED. I drove 3 hours and saved over $4500 - compared to a local dealer who wouldn''t budge at all.
Also the 09 models are due out soon - thus making 07 and 08 deals even better.
Lastly look for the reat locker button and/or locker in the description, larger tires in the the description and the plain old lable of "adventure".
Good luck

I have an 07 with the adventure pkg and I love it. The ride is great, works great off road, looks "meaner" than the regular H3, and the over all MPG is not bad at all. Hope it helps and good luck with your upcoming purchase.

The rear locker button is the best way to tell.  As for the H3 the 3.7L engine has plenty of power for off roading so you can''t go wrong with that engine.

Yes, that has been an easy way to tell. I found a silver one w/the Adventure package on Ebay. It was in Texas, I would snatch it up if it was a couple months later, but I have 3 months left on this lease.
