This is just friggin'' silly. I cannot find even simple performance upgrades for my 08 H3 - 3.7. I cannot find a CAI (oil-less style) or an exhaust system. Maybe since I''m new and not the brightest guy out here could someone tell me if the ''07 3.7 and the ''08 3.7 are the same?? I don''t recall reading anything - anywhere that said there is a difference. There just isn''t anything listed for the 08 3.7. I even went to the local Hummer/Chevy dealer - what a waste the guy knew nothing about the H3 - at all. Last dumb questions - I''m looking at the BFG AT KO 285/75/16. How is the road noise with them? Yes, I''ve read the previous posts elsewhere, but just was looking for fresh input - especially from a couple of you who recently put them on and can give a long term report. Lastly (again I''m new to HUMMERS) do I have to have a dealership put the new tires on due to the tire pressure monitoring system? I usually go to a local shop but didn''t know about warranty stuff and the TPMS. Please forgive the dumb questions - as a yeti - I am still learing to walk upright and type. 08 H3 3.7 NOTHING...........YET!

The intakes for the 2007 H3 and 2008 H3 are different. Any tire store can set you up with what you need. They deal with TPMS from all the mfgers, not a biggy. How to program the TPMS locations is in the owners manual.

Doc - I''ve read the other posts about your CAI. Is the 08 3.7 ready? I''m still SOL because K&N is still the only filter out there but I could at least get started with your kit - and hope everyone else steps up to the plate and gets the filters made. Thanks for the info on the TPMS. I just don''t want to screw up any "warranty" stuff.

I believe the BFG AT KO were standard on my H2 (but different size). They were great tires. I got 55,000 miles out of them. Not noisy on the pavement, but had a rugged look and performed well in mild off-roading.

I''ve been having the same problem that you have now for awhile. I got the K&N air filter from their website last week and installed that and will move to Doc''s CAI once he''s finished testing them and then go to PCM4less to get the computer tuned. I even had to order my K&N oil filter from Amazon since my local parts store didn''t have my size. As far as exhaust, I got a Magnaflow a few weeks ago and I love it. The 07 and 08 exhausts are the same so they''re easier to find. Mine was about $500 and it sounds great, especially when starting it up.

Doc, Tex and Motley thanks for the info. Man it''s frustrating when you get the "bug" to start your changes and can''t due to lack of parts. I''ll check into the Magnaflow. I found the BFG''s for 179.00 at Sears - not on sale. I appreciate all your input.

Wait a minute.... When I traded in my 06 for the 08 H3 I had the dealer pull the K&N CAI from the 06 and put it on the 08. And its on there, are you sure the CAI are different?

The 06 is different than the 07, (the air filter box emmission breather, and different MAFs) so an 06 K&N CIA will not fit an 07. The 2008 and 2007 H3 have different MAFs, and different air filter boxes. K&N just came out with a CAI for the 2008 about two weeks ago showing the same 2007 part #, and a filter for the 2008s 10 days ago. A 2006 K&N CAI will not fit a 2008 H3 without an irreversible modification to the plastic intake tube, and I''m not positive that would even work. So pics would be most interesting Mr_Pat.

Isn''t the stock setup of the intake on an H3 considered a cold air intake. Other than making the inlet bigger, such as Doc does, it seems like it is pretty good for a stock system to just replace the filter.

Dave....K&N has a filter for the 2008 Alpha and H3. K&N part # 33-2408, I bought a couple last week. As to Alpha intake products, for most it is a matter of potential customer demand. There are more than 25 times as many H3, Chevy Colorado, and GMC Canyon drivers out there to potentially buy a product than Alpha owners. The Alpha''s intake is model specific, so it is taking the intake system people longer to point resources in that direction of product development. H3 Dude......in the truest sense you are correct that the stock intake does draw air from outside the underhood heated area, but.....its performance sucks! Pun intended. The throttle body resonator box and accordian style indirect route of the intake hose dramatically impact air flow volume and speed to the trottle body inlet. As a final note......there are plenty of CAT back exhaust kits out there for the 2008 H3 and even the Alpha has one by Magnaflow..... 16832.
