I just read this in a Yahoo news story this morning:

"GM has put its Hummer brand up for sale to prospective buyers thought to include Mahindra & Mahindra (MAHM.BO), but the SUV brand is expected to fetch far less than $1 billion in any sale."

Apparently GM is seriously considering downsizing the number of brands they sell. I wonder if Pontiac or Buick will be next.

you never know what GM has up it''s sleeve until the deal is done. What really sucks is that GM is a reactive company and not a proactive company like many others. Until they get rid of that moron of a ceo, the struggle will continue. I''ll still continue to support Hummer and GM since I believe they make a great product. The press could ease up on them a little bit since the liberal media enjoys beating up on american auto makers. just my 2 cents.
