squeaky alternator   Printable Version Hummer Forum >> Hummer Lineup >> Hummer H2 >> squeaky alternator Page: [1] Login Message << Older Topic   Newer Topic >> squeaky alternator - 7/3/2008 1:26:30 PM    cisco   Posts: 11 Joined: 7/2/2008 Status: offline Ive have a fairly bad squeak from the engine compartment that is getting worse.  It does it around town most opf the time but only on the highway when i turn the wheel a little.  I replaced the serpentine belt and when I had it off I spun everything to see if I could get some noise.  When I spun the alternator it made a slight squeaking sounds.  I''m guessing the bearing mioght be going out???  Can anythign be done short of replacing it?  It is charging fine.  Post #: 1 Login OR Register now to post a reply to this forum topic.
