Antonio,
That picture you posted, you don''t need a Hummer, you need an air boat. Down here we call that the everglades and/or a swamp. And in most cases they do not have a bottom so you may need a periscope to go with your snorkel!!

Je, Je

That’s the beauty of this country, forests around, water, rivers, I use the road shown in the picture once a week. Usually some mud, some dust, nothing important. That day I crossed it a big thunderstorm over me, and well, a shame I was alone and could not get a pic crossing it. But when I was in the middle of it I really missed a little snorkel, but was no so much water at all. Just 2" below the air intake and the only vehicle crossing me the other way was a donkey with a fellow over it.

It’s fun around here. As I agree that mud holes have the ability to change magically in one night. And you don’t know how deep you are going to get. It is a great comparison with the runflats, when you have them installed, you have peace of mind, even if you never use them.

To see the roads around home...Here I post you a pic of some mud hole I had a problem with. Was nothing compared to what the H1 can do but I did not still have it. I had to get a little bit dirty but was fun anyway.

LOL

That´s the problem, the night before I crossed it, just 1" of mud. Next morning, happens all time around here... Lucky there was a "4 leg drive" donkey that pulled me back.

An X5 is 4 wd or awd and it is as much of a mud hog as a H2 or H3. If it had some tires on it with grip it would have gone through that puddle. The guy is only up to his ankles in the water.

You are right. If I had some grip tires, I think I could get out without problem. So I bought the H1 and happens no more Je, Je... Just the pic to see how conditions around here change in some hours. Where there was some little puddle in some hours you get a cavern under that. I saw once a guy crossing with an enduro bike something like that, and had to get out swimming with the helmet on. LOL....

true, but the x5 has far less ground clearance and smaller tires...but it might be a bit lighter.

Antonio,
You said you crossed that area with the water 2" below the air intake. What did you do whith the interior once you got home? The water would have been in your lap.
