quote:
ORIGINAL: importkiller but it IS a GM, which includes chevy, and gmc...the h3 uses alot of chevy and gmc components, a lot of parts are identical and can be used in chevy/gmc application...same with the h2..some of the parts are also used in the tahoe, yukon line. If they want to do away with the "brand" name but offer teh same truck as a chevy...I have no problem buying a Chevy H3....it would be the same truck...I didn''''t buy my H3 to be a label whore so I can say I have a hummer...though I know there are ALOT of people that did. Well said. The H3 and H2 ARE Chevys. Owned, designed and built by GM. The Hummer part is just re-branding for marketing purposes. Only the Humvee was really a Hummer. Not that it matters. I got mine because it was so cheap. If it had said Chevy on the side it wouldn;t have mattered. Now they''re even cheaper, $270 a month for a lightly loaded ''08 base model. And 2008 models may well sell used for $5,000 in 2 years, as gas is expected to be somewhere in the $7-$8 a gallon range.
