0% on 2008 H2, H3

Hummer Guy -> 0% on 2008 H2, H3 (6/23/2008 3:48:07 PM)

BTW tomorrow HUMMER is coming out with new incentives to blow through the 2008 inventory that is stacking up.  0% on all 2008 H2 and H3 models, and if you pay cash or have outside financing, there is $6k in rebates on the H2 and $7k in rebates on the H3 (insane).  These do NOT stack on the 0% offer - it''s either/or.

Which would make more sense in the long run - 0% financing or $7000 off?

3hummers -> RE: 0% on 2008 H2, H3 (6/24/2008 11:25:49 PM)

Depends on interest rate and length of time you finance. If you go to the bank or credit you will probably pay a little less than 6% interest on a new car loan. Without knowing exact numbers I would guess that the 7K would pay for about 3 years financing costs.

MisterMark -> RE: 0% on 2008 H2, H3 (6/24/2008 11:39:00 PM)

After thinking about it, I think I''d rather take the $7000 off.  I''d be happier oweing a smaller amount with 6% interest than having a larger debt with 0%.

I just wonder if the dealers would be desperate enough to cave in to $7000 off AND 0% financing.

If anyone does go for it, it looks like you could actually get about $9000 off, according to what I saw on carsdirect.com.  Wow.

We received a promotional flier today from our dealer.  They are offering up to 20,000 miles of free gas, $8K min for your trade, and a voucher for up to $10K on a new purchase.  Of course, the fine print on each promo says not combined with any other offer.

Here is a link to the loan calculator that will compare a low interest rate vs. dealer rebates.

If you decide to visit them while you are in Florida, I highly recommend you deal w/ Omar Rodriquez.  He really took care of my husband when he purchased his H3, and then again when I went back 7 months later.  Very non-pressure!!  http://www.reevesimportmotorcars.com/Hummer.aspx?make=Hummer
I still have the ad if you need it.
