Fourney: The reason is some guys have NO mechanical aptitude at all. Whether they were never taught to do it, don''''''''t have any interest in it, or are just plain big sissy boys and don''''''''t want to break a nail, it''''''''s anybody''''''''s guess. This is my own personal opinion so if the shoe fits don''''''''t get your panties in a wad. A 4x4 truck that is driven off road is not something for girly men or girly girls for that matter. There''''''''s too much crap that will break at the worst possible time that will require you to have some knowledge of how it works in order for you to get home. Your local tow truck driver probably won''''''''t be able to get where you''''''''re broken down so it''''''''ll be up to you OR a really good friend.

I just got my oil changed from the dealer (Hummer on the queens way, toronto, ON) and it costed me $130+tax for full Mobile 1 synthetic 0W-40W. - Is 0W-40W good for the truck? - i just recently changed from regular oil to synthetic.

A "true" synthetic (0W-30) is always better than a blend or petro based oil. Amsoil and Mobil1 seem to be the best of the synthetics.

I finally did it, I did my own oil change on the h3 with no problems. It was so easy a baby could do it and next I must conquer the WORLD.... Ok maybe a tire rotation lol.
