I use to pay 40 and some change for an oil change and now I tried going to the dealer and its $68.00 they said. I was like I just paid 40 something on the last one and the service guy had the nuts to say " U know when the gas goes up we go up". I didnt know if I was gonna karate chop the guy or walk out. (I walked out) Has anybody done the oil change themselves and have pics for us. How hard was it? Might consider doing it might self.

Funny, would have been even better if you had been getting synthetic.

H3 Forum, Frequently Asked Questions, pinned tot he top:  H3 Oil Change with Pictures

The only correction for Wendell is that a 13MM socket is all that is needed, drain plug and skid bolts are all 13MM.  And....when I have done mine,
it rarely hits the cross member when draining from the plug, but be ready for it to shoot out towards the diver side when you first pull the plug to avoid a mess
have the drain pan way over or hold it up close to the plug.

I paid $61 last week for mine at a dealership, I didn''t think it was that expensive considering the Instant Oil Change type places charge like $45

Al Serra Chevrolet in Colorado Springs will change the only in the H3 for $12.95.  They dont vacuum, clean the windows or do any of that crap.  They just change the oil and throw on a new filter

Since I bought my H3 I''ve been going to Naperville Hummer. They''ve always charged $50. Its been a few months I wonder if they jacked the price too.

I just dropped off my H3 at the dealer for the ''service'', torsion bar adjust , and alignment. The service alone is $129. Not sure if they are supplying Vaseline or not though...

My dealer here charges me $87 for the oil change and tire rotation. I am in the process of looking for somewhere else to take it for my oil changes.
