Westin made some great running boards for our ''01 Dodge Diesel Ram. Have held up just great. When bought H3 last year Westin had boards but not brackets! Same boards used on several vehicle models. Brackets were scheduled for production down the line?? Now Brackets fully cancelled We not only like the solid boards to step on, especially for all our height challanged friends, but they also protect the rocker panels more. Any one know of any good molded running boards out there? These also had curved up molded ends more splash protection. Maybe should just chance buying right length and modifying / make own brackets? Thanks folks!

the closest to what you''re talking about would be the flat steps that Hummer offers as far as molded w/ splash protection, I haven''t seen anything and frankly, I''m not sure I''d want to. If you do decide to fab some - make sure you post pictures!

i''m heading into dealer tomorrow for oil change. I recall my last H3 loaner had aftermarket retractable running boards installed. When you opened the door, they flipped down to step on (had to watch your shins), and when you closed the door, they retracted back up and looked like they could/would serve almost like rocker panels. Anyway, sorry for the long dialogue, but i''ll ask about what mfr they were and get the details.
