Hey guys,

What model years came with these steel wheels? I love the look, especially with the CTIS protector thing. Are these available for aftermarket purchase?

Thanks!

Those are OEM steel 1-piece wheels with standard CTIS connectors and shields... these were the "cheapest" available wheels for Hummers in the mid-nineties.

You can buy these on Ebay most any day. They also make a two piece steel wheel.

they are typically the quickest rims to bend too..... ever drive a Hummer with a vibration?!

I have several shields if you want them.... I believe for 1 and 2pc steel wheels that I need to get rid of.... just send the shipping and they are yours....

I think he needs to the wheels also. Got a line on a set? I have a set in my storeroom with MTs but don''t want to get rid of them.

They are pretty bad on the road. I took them off and put the 17" aluminum wheels with GSA''s on the 97. They aren''t very good offroad tires but do very well on the street. Swap back and forth. The Alpha has MTR''s. They are a little rough/loud on the road but ok. They are also pretty good offroad. Good combo tire.

Nice job Zach. Audi Goodyear MTs are used by the military and offroad types. They are pretty good offroad tires but a little harsh for the street. Goodyear MTRs are pretty good at both offroad and on road applications. Goodyears GSA''s are ok to poor offroad but do a great job on road. Not much noise, vibration or bounce.

Thank you!

What about these? Definitely not factory, right?

Could you guess as to the size of the tires? I forgot to take a closer pic when I was there a year ago! :(

just read the links given above you''ll learn about all the nasty stuff that can happen using wheels with the wrong backspacing/offset. Stick with the right ones.
