Ron I was shopping for an open top to set up as a trail rig when I saw Eric post that he might sell the slantback. 97 has played offroad a good bit but to get really serious it would need to be more heavily "accessorized". Might sell the 97 and start shopping for an open top again.

That would be about right. Eric mentioned on another forum that he might sell. I flew up about two weeks ago to look at it and we cut a deal a few days later. It was worth the trip to see Eric''s garage and other Hummers.

Blair sold a red one last year on the web. Different truck but very similiar. According to the records they made 6 red ones so there are a few out there. Not sure if this one has been web advertised or not. I''ll ask Eric. I know he bought it from a guy in Oregon.

it wasnt from blair, I think the guy you bought yours from made 1 post here and when i searched his user name, it came up with him on a different forum. i remember seeing the red slantback and the wagon...
