Off-Road Event: [THCI] Sep 1st- Badlands

HummerKid82 -> Off-Road Event: [THCI] Sep 1st- Badlands (6/7/2008 3:13:35 PM)

The Hummer Club, Inc. event at Badlands in Attica, Indiana. This is on Labor day, September 1st. Mechanical Support by AM General.

Hopefully this is still in the planning phase. Why would they only have it for 1 day?

You can count me in and probably bringing my Pops for the a (belated) birthday outing.

Nothing?

Still a ways out. Lots of people can''t plan that far out. I am sure there will be a crew there.

True, I was just trying to get an idea of who before I left. It''ll be a blast I''m sure.

Camou2 is working to get the website fixed.  It will be a three day event just like the others.  I would go if I had a co-pilot.  I can''t make that drive out there by myself and my wife isn''t able to go.

What Camou2 is doing is waiting on the event coordinator to get me the event docs so I can post them on-line for registration.  Still waiting but it will eventually get posted for registration.  Not sure how many days the event is because I have 2 other events that I am the coordinator for and don''t have time to worry about Badlands.

Roberto is coordinating this event.... and I don''t think he has thought that far in advance..... but it is coming up soon... I am sure things will be solidified relatively soon.  If the event was only 1 day, its not like you couldn''t stay for a 2nd day.....

Hopefully they clear it out really well. I was there for an IHC outing and driving was really REALLY tight and not the most Hummer friendly in some areas... Still might look into going though since I''m in Mishawaka.

This event has been canceled

Sorry guys.  We did everything we could to pull off this event but it just won''t happen.  Change of ownership, redoing some of the trails, etc. etc.  We tried to get a replacement event in the area at AM General''s test trails but that could not be arranged either.

HummerGuy -> RE: Off-Road Event: [THCI] Sep 1st- Badlands (8/7/2008 4:51:45 AM)

I''m surprised.  When we went in May/June with IHC we had no issues and that was under the new ownership.  It was a pretty good time actually.  We had no problems getting in, although some of the trails were a little tricky, we all made it through.  Besides a few mechanical problems, there were no logistical issues.

Is it because there is going to be Manufacturer support and there are liability issues?
