not sure what's different between the '07s and the ones you have, but holy crap, that's nothing but a mobile blind spot. rented one for a trip to one of my coastal markets and it was the most uncomfortable ride i've had in a long time. i don't know if i could ever own something that small and low to the ground again. and i had more aches after a 5 hour drive than i did after the 14 hours driving home from Moab. i don't know how you can stand it . . . . . btw, it was a base model i'm sure, so no speed records this trip. if it was a v8, it was a sad one, but it only had a single exhaust, so i'm thinking 6 banger.

Mine is built for speed, not comfort. [sm=gears.gif] Although I am comfortable in it. I dont think I could take a long trip in it though.

And yea, When I get out of the Hummer an in it, your a$$ does feel like it's draging. Takes me a while to get used to it again. Keep thinking I'm going to bottom out.[image]http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n289/blackstangs281/Avatars/giggle.gif[/image]

i had a '94 mustang, a retired CHP pursuit car, and it was more comfortable than the new one. i drove nonstop from Harrisburg, PA, to Sacramento, in 43 hours, mainly on Mountain Dew and Marlboros. i couldn't imagine doing that trip in the car i rented. i had more aches than i thought possible when i got home, but i got laid at the end, which was what kept me going. i wouldn't recommend it though, i had to use the nail file end of nail clippers to get one of my contacts off my eye. but, back to the car, i loved it. it still had the CHP tune, and i could sit still until halfway through second, as long as my shifting worked.

Dennis -> RE: to the mustang owners (9/26/2006 10:33:06 PM)

Well now..That was a vivid tribute to "Vanishing point"...I think he laid too by a naked girl on a motorcycle....Shall we start calling you Barry?

shortbus -> RE: to the mustang owners (9/26/2006 11:05:33 PM)

she wasn't on a motorcycle, so barry isn't necessary. thanks for asking though . . . .

Dennis -> RE: to the mustang owners (9/26/2006 11:08:49 PM)

I thought he boinked that one on the MC out there in the desert, she was shackin with this old biker dude, maybe I was just thinking he should of...Or did he just get some white crosses from them..I really don't remember now[&:]...But he was driving a Challenger though, right?...But he crashed a Camero at the the ending...tragic technical screw up...Maybe Kowalski then?

H24fun -> RE: to the mustang owners (9/28/2006 10:56:02 PM)

My Mustang is a speed demon, but I agree it definitely is not intended for long trips. Like Blackstang, I have a hard time adjusting from the Hummer to the stang, but it sure is fun flipping back and forth[:)]

Greenblade -> RE: to the mustang owners (10/1/2006 10:42:15 AM)

the prius isn't much of a long-hauler, either.

fun for around town & getting the bird from pickup drivers, though

HummThis -> RE: to the mustang owners (10/1/2006 10:47:43 PM)

I just got an '05 Saleen Mustang and I love it. Its quick, fast, and to me its comfortable. Also rides fairly smooth for having 20" rims on it.
