Hello All,
 \\;
I may possibly need a tire cover replacement as I let my garage door down on my existing cover and scuffed it up a bit. \\; How much do they generally cost at the dealer and does anyone have a part number? \\;
 \\;
Thanks

It lists for about $1200 - yes, $1200 - from the dealer.  I PMed GMpartsdude here on this forum to inquire about replacing my standard cover with a Tactical cover and he offered it to me at a deep discount as a favor (he is an authorized GM parts dealer) but it was still several hundred $.

At those prices, you might want to learn to live wth the scuffs or paint yours like I did my standard stock cover.

That''s one reason I took mine off and put it up. Save it for resale, plus I just think the truck looks better with a "naked" tire back there.

They aren''t cheap, I really don''t understand why they cost so much. You can almost get a Hard painted tire cover cheaper than the Tactical cover.

No tire cover - one less thing to pay for, one less thing to maintain.

Stolen? Wow, that sucks!

I wonder if there''s a service that repairs hard platics like the tactical covers?  It has about 3 deeps gashes on the top portion of the cover.

Brodie,

If you want a temporary solution I will sell you my soft tire cover for $30. That''s what I have in it. It is genuine GM and has HUMMER H3 silked on it in silver.

I am going naked in the back again.
