Hi People!

Right now, in addition to the H2 I have a 2001 Silverado 1500 with the 8 foot bed, 5.3L engine and 4 wheel drive. It's been an awesome vehicle in the winter snow and considering there are snowstorms so severe that my road never even gets plowed (it's steep and winding at the same time). [Personally I'm dying to see how good the H2 does in the snow here]. I do like the silverado, it's been a great truck. It's my daily ride to and from work and i use it on the weekend to haul my daughter's dirt bikes around and for hauling logs for firewood, so the bed does get used a lot.

The Silverado does have one big weakness. It's not an extended cab, it's a regular cab. Over the years that's ended up being a pain trying to drive somewhere with my daughter and our dogs (we have siberian huskies). The new H3T seems like a truck that might be better suited to me. A bit shorter bed and 4 doors for the dogs.

Does anyone have an idea of what the pricing is going to be for the 2009? I am thinking of going to the 5.3L v8 and not the I5. I'd like that because:
* I would like the better 4 wheel drive/tire options
* It's better suited to towing (either my camper, or a trailer with a compact tractor on it)
* Roughly same gas mileage that I would get with the current Silverado
* More and newer upgrades

Are there any opinions on the H3T? I think it's a pretty cool looking truck and it seems to have some really nice options like a bedliner, rear rail (great for the dirt bikes) and other bed combinations.

Thanks in advance for any ideas or opinions, especially if anyone knows what the expected pricing is going to be!

Angela

I haven''t heard the price range. Sounds like you want the Alpha with Adventure pkg which I am going to guess will list between 35-40K. Should be in showrooms in a few months.

Someone said that on this site if you change names you lose your posts. Others you can change so I don''t know.
