Haven't looked at removing the H3 spare yet. I have not seen a key in the Owners booklet or anywhere else. Guess would be with the jack. I'll look tomorrow and try to see what you are describing and see what I can find.

When I bought my H3, it was with the owners manual in a small plastic baggie. Its a lock nut so nobody can steal your tire..

Same here mine was included in the small bag with the owner's manual.

if you can't find it you can buy a socket at Sears that will take it off with no problems....[:D]

Check your back door and then read the manual for all the info needed for changing tire/spare removal.

spusoccer -> RE: please answer this simple question (6/2/2008 9:38:22 AM)

Mine is in with the owners manual as well.  Is your H3 brand new or is it used?

Alphatrion -> RE: please answer this simple question (6/2/2008 9:40:42 AM)

My key was in the glove box.  Its in a little plastic bag that says wheel lock key.  When I first saw it I thought the dealer was kind and installed wheel locks on the wheels for me so I checked,  and then looked at the spare and sure enough thats what it was for.

What DO YOU KNOW????????????????[8D][;)]

3hummers -> RE: please answer this simple question (6/2/2008 9:26:50 PM)

He knows that Sears sells the sockets needed to unlock the lock they don't sell.[:D] I searched hiogh and low in the H3 and apparently we didn't get the lock key. Guess I'll head to Sears for the socket...oh wait I have a tool box full of Craftsman sockets.[;)]
