When we were getting the house inspected that we are looking at yesterday, someone else pulled in and we went out to see what they wanted (after all it's going to be OUR house, right?). Anyway, the lady looked at us and asked if the Hummer belonged to the Realtor, and I said "no it's mine". They didn't stay long after that. LOL

I generally get comments out of curiosity. Preconceived notions lead people to believe that a) it is expensive and b) it is a gas hog. Once I educate them, they are usually very cool and very interested.

Never any negative comments but lots of positive one. Some ask about the mileage and are surprised.

What's really fun is when the idiot in the Ford Expedition at the next pump looks at you and says, "Man, i sure don't envy you having to fill that thing up!" I wonder what he thought when I was done filling up and driving away, and he was still filling his truck up. Dumb-ass.

i get many questions or comments on how much it costs. or how bad of mileage its gets , but when i tell them what i paid and that its a 5cyl they are pretty confused!

Thats a double-edged sword. GM wants to market the vehicle as being as rough and tough as its big brothers. Its all about brand imaging. As long as they are meeting their CAFE numbers and selling vehicles then they don't want anyone to think it is anything less than a smaller version. H3's are selling like hot cakes in my area even with gas prices like they are. Perhaps in other ares of the country where sales may have slipped some they might want to advertise that they are only 5 cylinder engines.

I think people are starting to realize that the H3 cost less than most of the other semi luxury vehicles. They ask me how much these cost and when i tell them they are like i didn't know they were that cheap. ( in a good way )

In my H3, I would always be asked 1) How much did the truck cost? 2) That must be really bad on gas...?
They were always confused when I would answer them about the price and the gas mileage.
In my new H2, I have been getting nods and smiles......can''t say I have had anything negative yet....
