Not to mention picking up dirty gas/sediment from the bottom of the tank. not worth the risk.

wait a minute youre getting 385 miles to a tank outta your h3? I have an o8 with a 22 gal tank and I am lucky to 315 the fuel light comes on at like 280. I just dont understand how all you guys such better mpg than me I really dont.

Worth saying again. Running your tank to empty really can damage your fuel pump. Fuel is used to cool and lube the pump.

yep.... worth saying on every page of this thread.... but people are going to do whatever they want....

I think AAA said that service calls are up 19% for people running out of fuel this year... because waiting for AAA on the side of a highway has got to be much easier than just filling your ****ing tank...

I've never ran out of gas but have forgotten to check the gauge but when the warning light comes on I head to the nearest gas station!!

In normal use I get 311 miles to low fuel light.

Wow, I only get about 300 miles out of my gas tank (because I beat the sh*t out of the truck mostly) but from experience, the low fuel light comes on when I''ve gone through about 20 gallons
