Hello folks,

I looked thru 7 pages of previous posts in the H2 section, and didn't see a similar post so sorry if it is a re-post.

So I just bought our 2003 Hummer, it's awesome! My question is about recommendations for upgrades in order of importance. Performance is obviously priority one to me, accessories and bling are not, unless it's a useful accessory that someone has experience with.

So based on your experiences, is there anything in particular that I should be addressing ASAP?

I plan to take it to the Hummer dealer for a recall search on the vehicle, but is there anything non-recall that I should be aware of?  Thanks for all input.

Dutchman,

The options depend on what kind of rig you want to build.  Do you want a Street rig or an offroad rig?

ditch the BFG's....

Upgrade the shocks...

upgrade the tie rods...

upgrade the pitman/idler when it wears out...

I'm sure shorty can weigh in on what I missed... he wheels his harder than I do...

Is there such thing as a combination of the two?  besides how it is now, which is all stock.

Yeah, BFG's will be ditched at my earliest convenience... Far as the shocks, tie rods, and pitman/idler, they may be a little lower on the list. I'll definitely educate myself on all of your recs MD75, thank you

No problem, hey I noticed the terrain in those pictures... Pine barrens? I grew up in TomsRiver and used to ride pretty deep into the Pine barrens when you could.
