How did they only get 9.4 mpg in a Durango on a dynamometer? Uh, I'm thinking that's a bit flawed. So they take a roughly 7 year old vehicle, probably heavily used/abused, and are able to get better combustion? Improvements are probably likely in a test like this but I'd hardly call it scientific.

It sounds interesting.

We had an 05 Durango 5.7L Hemi and the MPG they are stating are believable. We were getting about 13 MPG HWY brand new.

Interesting but I am skeptical.

My 99 Durango 5.9ltr got 12mpg.  I agree 9.4 does not sound reasonable but 23.4mpg is unbelievable.  I will do more research today and post my findings on this.

What, you youngsters don't remember water injection kits from the 70s?????

Accel used to make one.  Complete BS.  Don't even mention the effects of moisture within the block?  Not so bad for our aluminum engines, but not so good for iron and steel.
It is the cooling effect on the combustion charge, like running nitros oxide (N2O instead of H20), only much more controlable, and not as efficient.  Creates condensation and leads to expansion of the hydrocarbons to increase compression within the cylinders.

I'll spend the $1200.00 + on gas, and run synthetic oil.

After doing some research the concept seems to make sense.  What my biggest concern is long term effects on the engine itself?  I find it very interesting that I have not seen anyone install this system on a $20K + car.  It is very similar to running N02 wich concerns me as that does tear an engine down.  Not to mention if it causes each cylinder to burn hotter with less gas what does that do your cooling system on a hot summer day when towing a boat up a 4 mile incline through the mountians?  I will keep an eye on this but im not sold.

I like the way it sounds, but it does sound too good to be true!
