I did a lot of reasearch on synthetic motor oils my choices in order where AMSOIL-MOBIL 1-REDLINE. Once i discovered the cost of Amsoil and the quantity you have to purchase to get a quart to a reasonable cost. Mobil became my 1st choice. Thanks to those who responded to my thread it makes me feel more confident in my choice. P.S. how far are you going between oil changes on Mobil and which Mobil are you using?

Mobile 1   5-W30.  The other stuff....Extended performance, Advanced fuel economy...    are all just the same stuff, different viscosity(ies) sold with a marketing label on the same container at.....different prices.  I would think the differences are in how they hit your wallet, not your internal combustion engine.    Sure one might have added miracle chemical X20...., but the change to synthetic is the improvement, not the marketing ploy.

Use what makes you happy.....do you like the plain quart bottles, or want a little green or yellow on them?

I agree with Doc Olds.  I usually run 5,000 miles between oil changes.

Same here, Mobil 1 5W-30 about every 5,000 miles

BTW: I have had it done at the stealership once, free until my warranty expires BUT it is about a 45 min drive so I have started to do it myself unless I'm in the neighborhood. I checked at Valvoline/Jiffy Lube and they were talking about $85-90 for what I did. This last weekend I went ahead and bought it and did it myself (more fun that way anyways) and it cost me $36 for 6 QRTS and a Mobile 1 Oil Filter. Just FYI.

And I have to say with the exception of removing the skid plates that it was one of the easiest oil changes that I've done. (and the skid plates really aren't that hard to deal with)
