Thinking about trading in your vehicle for a fuel efficient vehicle?  Well if the cost of gas is your only reason, it might not be the deal you think it is. Here is an interesting article which does a nice cost analysis just to show that you might not be saving what you think you are:

Of course these numbers aren't absolute, since everyone's circumstances are different, but I wonder how many people do a similar analysis before making the move?  Me? I will be keeping my Hummer thank you very much!

That actually is the way people need to look at it. It can cost a fortune to save money at the pump.

Mine isn't going anywhere...no really it sits in the driveway! 

I did buy a used cheap 4 cylinder to run back and forth to work. BUT the Hummer is there whenever I want to drive it, mudding, days off or anyother time I just feel like it.

Mine too. I don't have to drive them...I want to drive them. I alternate, take the F-250 sometimes but they aren't going anywhere unless I decide to trade one out for another.
