I saw a new H3 alpha with BF Good Muds, and some bling (mostly Putco plastic) for $54,000 at Palm Beach Hummer.  Sounds a little high, what do ya'll think.

I went on their web site "Schumacher Hummer" and they have 2008 alphas ranging from $33,000 up to $47,000 and not all of these are Alpha's..Must have alot of extras.

A little high! You better run AWAY from that deal as fast as you can! SteveO is correct, you can buy an Alpha and mod it out yourself for much less then that. The price may be extra high simply because it's in trendy Palm Beach.

Putco plastic is probably getting more expensive now, with the rise in oil prices. That ABS chrome could be worth some big $$$

Base Alphas run a little over 41,000.00 list. Some dealers are asking $5,000.00 + over list. I have not seen one stickered at over about $47,500.00. I wouldn't pay a dealer's markup for that stuff.

It is in the showroom (shouldn't make a difference though)....for a few more thous you have a H2.  I was surprised to see the vehicle at that price...Food for thought-the dealership was extremely slow when I was there on a Sat...Wonder if all Hummer dealerships are slow with the rising gas prices.

It was adverstised with 23 pieces of chrome, like I said, mostly all plastic including the door handles...Overall, great lookin rig.

The ones around here are pretty slow. I have dealt with several and the salespeople are pretty candid with me. Thinks aren't  great in the Hummer showrooms at the moment. They want the H3T floowed by the H4 to perk up sales. H2 resale activity is also pretty slow. You should be able to cut a deal if you are a buyer.

Come south to Coral Hummer in Broward. I got my Alpha below MSRP. I took JPMedic there and he worked a deal on his Alpha for invoice. They are a good dealer to work with, and their service department rocks.

I paid invoice when they first came out. Not sure if they are getting the mark up or not or just using it to give away so they don't have to deal.

I have 5 months left on my lease..I was planning on buying it when the lease was up.  I am debating on the getting an alpha for the sole reason that I now have a trailer to tow, and while my I5 does OK the alpha would be nice.  I dont know my buy out but I was thinking about how the market is and wonder how much I can bargain on my buy out price, or upgrade to the alpha??

From what you all say the market is slow for them and that should work in my favor.

I'm payin $450 a month now, if I can slip into a comparably equipped alpha for the same price and not to much down I would...I just havent checked them out yet.

The Hummer dealer in my area has been moving H3's like hotcakes. Besides myself, I have at least 4 coworkers I know of who have bought one in the last 6 weeks or so. I remember not too long ago that my youngest daughter would get excited and point one out when we were driving somewhere. Now thay are such commonplace that she just grumbles "theres another Hummer".

Lot of H2 and H3's around here. Talk to guys trying to sell and they aren't having lots of luck on selling their used Hummers. New is pretty dead also. On the bright side some Hummer dealers are offering $14K+ to move out their remaining 2007 H2 models.

Must be some other BS high markup "options" added by the dealer.

I bought my ALPHA at 1000.00 less MSRP with Nav/rear camera/33" tires; adv. pack - On top of that GM through another 3500 is incentives and rebates. My total was at around 41K with incentives.
