Guess the best guy can't work on every car but you are right in thinking that after the third trip in someone a little more qualified might take a shot at fixing it. Sad part is I am sure they bill Hummer for their incompetence.

at least you get to drive the ****mobile for the rest of the weekend...

Camou2 -> RE: Old Leaky strikes again.... (5/9/2008 4:12:43 PM)

Trey, don't worry.  I will bring my H3 cover just in case it rains.  It should fit in the H2.

Muddydawg75 -> RE: Old Leaky strikes again.... (5/9/2008 4:17:12 PM)

it doesn't leak on level ground.... just in his driveway

Doc Olds -> RE: Old Leaky strikes again.... (5/9/2008 6:46:08 PM)

Trey................STOP parking in your damn driveway!!!!   Park it at the neighbor's when its supposed to rain.  [;)]      [8D][:D][8D][8D][:D]

Another one solved by Doc Sleuth.  [8|]

3hummers -> RE: Old Leaky strikes again.... (5/9/2008 9:13:51 PM)

Damn...wht didn't we think of that? Or he could just turn it around in his driveway so the rear end is up instead of down.

Trey124 -> RE: Old Leaky strikes again.... (5/10/2008 4:30:42 AM)

I usually park first in my driveway and that solves the problem, but my wife was away on a business trip, so I parked behind her not even thinking that there would be a problem.

Camou2 no need for a car cover, I'm sure the hotel has a level parking lot.  If not I can put the back tires up on the curb and leave it like that overnight.

It's funny you guys metion parking the other direction or somewhere else, because that's what I usually do when I know it is going to rain.

Muddydawg75 -> RE: Old Leaky strikes again.... (5/10/2008 5:06:21 AM)

usually.... and your punishment for forgetting this time is you get to drive the ****mobile around the rest of the weekend...

I don't think NOW was the right time for this thread for poor Trey, what with the ROTM and all[&o]

Don't know...maybe the sick Hummer will generate a sympathy vote.

You should have seen my reaction when the Service Manager said "He'll put his best tech on the job"  I said, "Well who the F*** was working on my H3.

Trey,
I can understand your frustration. I went through the same BS with a brand new Dodge Diesel pickup once and ended up getting rid of the damn thing because of the dealers’ incompetence. I came unglued at the dealer also to the point that they wouldn’t even talk to me so I called Dodge in Detroit and then the SHTF!! Besides why should you have to park your H3 in a “certain direction” because it’s going to rain? How crazy is that? Good luck!

Trey124 -> RE: Old Leaky strikes again.... (5/11/2008 3:47:02 AM)

I'm torn I LOVE the H3 and going off road in it.  I even have it tattooed on my leg!  I can't see myself in the H2 for me personally they're just too big for my needs and whose to say that won't leak if I park it in my driveway.
It has to be a major design flaw, how can I have an '06 and an '07 that have the same leak?  But yet I'm the only one that seems to have the problem.  Like I said it doesn't happen if my H3 is parked level in the rain.  I guess I'm the only one with a sloped driveway.  I guess my only solution is to move to a different house!?!

Muddydawg75 -> RE: Old Leaky strikes again.... (5/11/2008 7:44:08 AM)

I say you take one of their loaners and park it until it rains and see...

as long as the loaner isn't slate blue... you should be ok....

rhill20 -> RE: Old Leaky strikes again.... (5/11/2008 7:46:06 AM)

My driveway is sloped (probably shouldn't say this because it's raining) but mine doesn't leak parked there. Wife's is sitting out in it right now so we'll see.

Muddydawg75 -> RE: Old Leaky strikes again.... (5/11/2008 7:47:20 AM)

Trey will end up living in his everytime it rains...
