Wondering if any of you guys are running any form of BioDiesel in your H1 ? I have run several hundred gallons of B20 (20% bio, 80% diesel). We have a local truck stop that carries it. My friend and I are considering doing the "cold process" B100 biodiesel.

I have been running Biodiesel for years in my H1; I have run everything from B2 to B100 at one time or another.

i have had some problems in the past with biodiesel hummers. i also contacted stanadyne and they sent me this link to answer my questions.

if nothing else it is good food for thought.

The other side of the equation. i have read/heard about issues with the biofuels on the FIE systems but a lot of people that are running the biodeisel fuels say they have yet to experience any significant issues. I wonder if that is due to the relatively short time frame since conversion? So far I am running straight diesel and plan on continuing unless they just pull it from the market in a fit of green.

Yes, I currently run B20(only stuff that is available within 20min drive). But that is only a couple months out of the year so i havent really had enough experience to say it doesnt affect everything. but Mannys thread and hummech's link should give you enough info to make your own decision i am sure.

Injun, what do you do to keep the fuel fresh if you let the H1 sit that long. Will a normal fuel additive work as well on the biodiesel fuel?

I am just saying i only use biodiesel for a couple months actually more like 5 months but that is just due to weather dont want the biodiesel gellin' up in my lines but once there is a biodiesel station in my city I plan on running it all year long just I cannot justify traveling 20min to fill up half a tank to cut it with regular diesel to make it B10 for the colder months.

Just wondering if any of the fuel stabilizers work on the biodiesel fuels.
