Hi everyone, I'm Mark from the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I've bought a 2008 H3 Alpha and I'm about to buy tires. Talking with 4 Wheel Parts folks today brought up more questions. I want to put MT Baja MTZ LT3157516 tires on my stock rims. First the salesman told me the 35" tires wouldn't fit, but changed his mind after I told him I have seen pictures of your Hummers. I told him I was going to level my H3 by cranking out the torsion bars 3 or 4 rounds. He informed me that it would ride rough if I didn't change out the torsion bar keys with the 229.00 ReadyLift Suspension system that looks to me like regular torsion bar keys. Then I would need an allignment at 120.00 more. What have ya'll done with these issues? And, about how many miles can I expect from the MTs. Thanks in advance for the advice.

The guy your talking to is either dumb, and azz, or messin with you.  Possibly all three?

The key kits are NOT needed to level up the front.

Search and you shall find.   One of the best  Front Leveling/Shocks & 35" Tire/Wheel FAQ    ;  RE: How much can I lift the H3 without...  ;

Maybe print off a couple choice threads and have the dumb azz (messin with you trying to make a sale) read up on WTH he's doin.

Welcome to the forums,  I know 35s can fit on the H3 bennersj has them on his H3.  He did say that they do rub a tiny bit on a hard turn, but he did adjust the torsion bar.  You may want to talk to him he even has the MTs on his Hummer.

Either pm or email him, his screen name again is Bennersj.

Part of what he said was somewhat accurate.... you should align it after cranking them....

BTW.... Here is a picture of his 35's that don't fit....

I only have 33's on mine, but I cranked the TB's and the ride isn't bad at all. I still have my stock shocks on it too. You CAN upgrade (as I plan to do) to something like Bilstein shocks. But it isn't needed. You do need to do an alignment however.
