Anyone had this happen to them?

Im driving to work yesterday and watch my windsheild crack 7 inches.
I called Hummer dealer and they say likely a stress crack.
So when they replace the windsheild, should I expect this again?
I havent even off roaded the beast- just city driving.

Never seen one from stress. I think Jay cracked his doing a jump but that is to be expected. Yours sounds unusual. Dealer replacing it for free?

I hope so!
They said to bring it in and they will evaluate it to determine if something hit it.
I watched it happen as I was driving.
No stones nothing.... Just crack!
I think they will find the same thing- They had better.

In the event that is validated, they did say a free replacement was in order.
But even so, Thats a major replacement IMO....

Wow, looks like no rock chips anywhere. If poorly installed or glass just wasn't made right a stress crack isn't unreasonable at all.

Dealer info!!

well, Monday am I leave for work and its pooring rain.
I get in the H2 an Ive got water coming in thru the head liner in several places.
LOTS of water pourining inside my ride.
So, I dropped it to the delaer thinking, Ok. no sweat, its under warranty...

Well, the dealer was kind enuff to inform me the following-
The factory warranty expired last nov.
Freaking BS! Ive only got 18K miles on it. (3 years my rear!)
(Good will should have been applied due to extreme low miles but I get nothing.)

And to ice the cake, the Extended full coverage warranty has exclusions..
GLASS and WATER LEAKS!!!!
Bastards!!!!
I got royaly ****ed by the system!

So now Im out over 1500.00 for the windsheild and the outside overhead lights as the seals were gone causing the leak.

Thanks for quality and classy service, GM- you dishonorable low lovel pri-cks!

END RANT!

That sucks.  Sorry to hear that.  $1500 seems a bit high for windshield and seal though.  What year is your truck?
