rims are 17x8 with an offset of +12. I do not have any leveling kit, just cranked the t-bars 2 1/2 turns. Stock wheels rub with 35's slightly but because of the + offset there is no rub at all. I am actually about 1/2" away from the control arm at full lock.

I'm sorry...your rims are 17x8? so what size are your tires? and what does +12 offset mean?

tires are 315/70/17

if the lug plate on the rim is dead center of the rim from front to back it has 0 offset. Positive offset means the lug plate is moved towards the rear of the rim, negative means it is moved towards the front of the rim. In my case my rim has +12mm offset where stock rims are -38mm or something like that. So mine sticks out past the fender more than stock but also allows more clearance of the control arms when turning a wider tire.

well first thing you have to do is get the lug pattern right when searching for rims. you need a bolt pattern of 6 on 5.5 - (139.7mm) once you find that then look for offset and backspacing. Any offset should work as long as it is not less than stock which I think is -35 or -38. Backspacing is the distance from the back edge of the rim to the lug plate, the higher the offset, the more backspacing you will have I think I have 5.5" of backspace which is close to stock. The reason my offset is more but the backspace is similiar to stock is because my rim is wider than stock, which keeps the backspace distance similiar.

Last thing you need to do is make sure the rim has a large bore (bigger hole in the center of the rim for the hub) Some 16" rims will not clear the H3 brake calipers because they are a big caliper, thats why I went to 17's so that it would clear with room to spare.
