No one said they did not get their trucks dirty, just that they did not let them stay that way.

Hummerhead,

I bought a set of stock wheels for my Alpha and plan to have them powder coated black then put some 35" mud tires on them to use for off road and winter driving in hopes of saving my chrome wheels from the perils of winter. What did you use to paint your wheels?

Of course they will indeed stick out beyond the fender a bit but not nearly as far as an aftermarket wheel. To help with that problem I’m looking into some fender flares.

I had the wheels powder-coated a dark grey, just a bit darker than the truck. The center caps I did with a spray can, kind of a black metallic, which was just a bit lighter than regular black and it goes better with the dark grey grille and the satin black rack. Geez, I sound like a frikin interior designer..."Mauve is this years puce!".

Alpha Dog, its OK that the tires and wheels stick out beyond the fender as long as they also tuck in under the truck the amount they're supposed to. Its the wheels that stick out without sticking in that make the H3 look bowlegged! I do like the fender flares too.
