Nope. Doesn't change a thing.

big2dabank -> RE: Will rising gas prices change your driving plans? (4/23/2008 10:58:44 AM)

Nope, no changes here. I am a truck guy, so I would expect to pay alot for gas no matter what type of truck I drive. The only think I would consider would be adding another car to drive when I do not need the duece. Like an H4!! [;)]

I would estimate that on average gas is costing me like $600 a month. Even with a smaller truck that gets around 18 mpg's I would still be paying around $450 or so thats only $150 less a month. Not worth ditching the hummer. I will just suck it up, literally.

GirlieH2 -> RE: Will rising gas prices change your driving plans? (4/23/2008 11:03:34 AM)

I fill up 3+ times a week at about $90 a pop. Sure money can get tight. I have 2 boys that cost double that in food bills alone every week - AND I have a baby on the way. I may have to give up something eventually - anyone want some kids? HAHA

Nah, I just grin and bear it. I'm already selling my '66 Mustang, I won't sell my H2.

I am so sick of the government not doing anything about the rising gas prices. It  is not so much the $$ i pay to fill up,  but the effect it has on everything else we buy. As soon as I can afford it I am converting to Duramax/Allison combo and running Bio diesel even if I have to start making it my self. I will NEVER give up driving my H2.

They are, who do think is responsible for the rising prices?[;)]

$3.62 a gallon tonight on the way home. I'm still driving 75 MPH. Yes it hurts the pocket, but like was said before; It's going to either be this or a full size truck so what's difference in MPG? Nothing. Keeping the H3[:)]

dwaxman1 -> RE: Will rising gas prices change your driving plans? (4/23/2008 8:20:03 PM)

Nope, no change. Trading Exxon/Mobil stock is more than making up the difference. :)

Provide tips for the rest of us......  We all need it.

Buy low, sell high... :)

I'm really not that good at stocks, but for some reason I've been lucky with Exxon Mobil (XOM). Right now I'm about to sell what I have (in fact I may have waited too long, should have unloaded on Tuesday), would not advise getting into it right now. I'll try to put together some charts in the next few days to see if I can illustrate my strategy.

Trey124 -> RE: Will rising gas prices change your driving plans? (4/24/2008 5:42:38 AM)

I'm taking more Hummer trips this year than in years past.  So I'm just going to have pay more, don't you just hate it when they raise the prices right before summer.

ockie -> RE: Will rising gas prices change your driving plans? (4/24/2008 7:08:33 AM)

The gas prices sucks and have changed my habits a lot... I tend to take the wifes car whenever possible, especially on long trips.  Damn these gas prices.

I do hope that Hummer releases their diesel versions QUICKLY :D

h3andme -> RE: Will rising gas prices change your driving plans? (4/24/2008 4:56:12 PM)

Not really. I work a mile from my house and will maybe put 500 miles on the h3 in a month on average.  Plus my explorer that I had before the h3 was much worse on gas although everyone I meet always assumes the hummer is a guzzler.  Most don't believe me when I tell them otherwise.

HummBob -> RE: Will rising gas prices change your driving plans? (4/24/2008 6:20:24 PM)

Ditto, My TWO DVD stores are 8 minutes and 12 minutes from my DOOR!!

In the summer I only have to fill up ONCE every TWO WEEKS!!!![:)]

dwaxman1 -> RE: Will rising gas prices change your driving plans? (4/24/2008 6:36:21 PM)
